According to this wikipedia entry the play was originally entitled “Gidget Goes Psychotic”, which goes a long way at a synopsis. Ann Bowman is a personality that appears in a psychotic break in the main Gidget-like character that is a distinct departure.

The audition is the actual endpoint and I am as much a player in it as they are (as director reading with them). It is an emotional as much as ethical experiment.
